  • Dear Self is located in Long Island City, Queens, just steps from the 7 train line.  It's easily accessible and convenient whether you are traveling from Manhattan, Brooklyn, or other parts of Queens.

  • Online therapy works much like in-person therapy: we meet at a scheduled time and talk in real time, just through a secure video platform instead of a physical office.

You’ll receive a private recurrent link for our sessions. All you need is a quiet space, a reliable internet connection, and a device with a camera. Many clients choose to sit on their couch, at their desk, or wherever they feel most comfortable.

The depth of the work doesn’t change. The connection doesn’t disappear. It simply meets you where you are.

  • I offer both virtual and in-person therapy. In-person sessions are available on Thursdays and Fridays in Long Island City. For some clients, being in the room together adds a layer of grounding and presence. For others, virtual sessions offer flexibility and ease. We can talk together about what feels like the best fit.

  • My fee is $200 per 50-minute session. Therapy is an investment of time, energy, and resources, and I hold that with care. If you have questions about payment, insurance, or logistics, we can talk through them together.

  • I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need and availability.

  • I am in-network for Blue Cross, Aetna and Cigna, Oxford Health, Oscar and United Healthcare. I can also provide a superbill for my out-of-network clients and help with reimbursement. On top of that, I have partnered with Thrizer to make using your out-of-network benefits easier. They handle the insurance paperwork so we can focus on therapy. You can use the calculator below to check your out-of-network benefits. And don't hesitate to reach out with any questions, I'm happy to work with you to keep therapy affordable.

  • The first session is a space to begin, gently.

We’ll talk about what’s bringing you in, what you’ve been carrying, and what you hope might feel different in your life. I may ask some questions about your history so I can understand you more fully, but there is no pressure to share everything all at once.

You don’t have to have the “right words.” You don’t have to tell your story perfectly. We move at a pace that feels steady and manageable.

Most of all, the first session is about getting a sense of whether you feel comfortable with me. Therapy works best when you feel safe enough to be real.

  • The length of therapy depends on your goals, your history, and what you’re hoping to shift. For some, therapy is a season. For others, it becomes a longer-term space for growth and reflection. There is no pressure to rush the process and no expectation that you stay longer than feels meaningful. We move intentionally, and we revisit your goals together along the way.

  • I understand that schedules can change and unexpected things come up. I have a limited cancellation policy, which means that clients may cancel up to four sessions per calendar year without charge if they provide at least one week’s notice. Cancellations made with less than one week’s notice are considered late cancellations and are charged the full session fee. After the four allotted cancellations have been used, any additional cancellations, regardless of reason, are also subject to the full fee. Rescheduling as an alternative to canceling is also an option. Holding this policy allows me to protect time that is reserved specifically with my clients and to maintain consistency in the work we’re doing together.
